NOID Terms of Use

Acceptance and eligibility

By accessing the NOID service, registering or using a NOID address, opening an official client, using the account tools or participating in Rewards, a user agrees to these Terms and the Privacy Notice. A person must have the legal capacity and any required permission to accept them.

If a person does not agree, that person must not register or continue using the service. Public product documentation can still be read without creating an account.

Accounts, addresses and credentials

A NOID address identifies an account inside the NOID network. The user is responsible for protecting the account PIN, device access, browser profile and installation credentials. A NOID address is not proof of a person’s real-world identity or trustworthiness.

Users must not sell, impersonate, automate or share an account in a way that defeats installation or account security. Suspected compromise should be reported promptly. AIEng / NOID may require reasonable verification before changing or disclosing account information.

Acceptable use

Users may not use NOID to:

• threaten, exploit, harass or unlawfully discriminate against people;
• send deceptive bulk traffic, spam, malware or unlawful or infringing material;
• impersonate another account or misrepresent authority;
• probe, bypass, damage or overload security, client or relay controls;
• collect another person’s information without authority;
• operate account farms, automated traffic or reward manipulation;
• interfere with another user’s access or with service availability.

Access can be limited or suspended to protect users, investigate abuse, comply with obligations, maintain security or preserve availability. A technical limitation does not authorise attempts to bypass it.

User content and communication

Users retain responsibility for content they choose to send and for having authority to share it. A recipient can read, save or redistribute content intentionally delivered to that recipient. Users should not assume that encryption makes an untrusted recipient safe.

AIEng / NOID does not claim ownership of private message text merely because the relay transports it. Operational metadata can be created and retained as described in the Privacy Notice.

Availability and emergency use

NOID depends on internet access, compatible devices, browser capabilities, permissions, relay operation and third-party infrastructure. Maintenance, network restrictions, faults, security incidents or device settings can delay or interrupt features.

NOID is not an emergency service and must not be relied upon to contact police, fire, ambulance or another emergency authority. Users must maintain a suitable conventional method for emergency communication.

Software, updates and downloads

Official Android packages are published through the aieng.co.za Downloads page with current version and checksum information. Users are responsible for checking compatibility, obtaining packages from the official source and applying security updates.

Browsers, operating systems, internet providers, map services, advertising vendors and payment services have independent terms. AIEng / NOID is not responsible for a third-party service merely because NOID links to or interoperates with it.

Rewards

NOID Rewards is limited to verified activity from the official native Android app on a compatible physical Android phone. Browser, PWA, desktop, emulator, scripted and automated activity is not eligible.

Entries remain subject to server verification, anti-abuse checks, unique-recipient rules, the published rates and the payment threshold. Pending value is not payable. Errors, duplicate activity and manipulated entries can be rejected, reversed or corrected.

Rewards are not generated by advertising views, clicks or purchases. Users must not create invalid ad traffic in an attempt to support NOID or change a balance.

Advertising

Eligible public publisher-content pages may contain clearly distinguishable third-party advertising. Ads are excluded from private and low-content utility screens as described in the Advertising Standards.

An advertisement is not a NOID instruction, security alert or product endorsement unless a separate disclosure explicitly states a relationship. Users should evaluate an advertiser independently and must not mistake an ad for an official download button.

Intellectual property

NOID names, visual design, original documentation and software are protected by their applicable intellectual-property rights. These Terms do not transfer ownership. Users may link to public pages and quote limited portions as permitted by law, but may not republish the site as their own or distribute modified software as an official release.

Changes, responsibility and applicable rights

Features, rates and these Terms can change when operational, security, economic or legal requirements change. Material changes will update the effective date. Continued use after a change takes effect indicates acceptance where permitted by law.

The service is provided subject to applicable law and without a promise of uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing in these Terms excludes a right or responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, users remain responsible for their device, connection, content, recipients and use of third-party services.
