Why public pages may contain advertising

AIEng / NOID creates and maintains original product information, security explanations, user guides and programme rules for people using or evaluating NOID. Eligible public information pages may use Google AdSense to contribute toward publishing, hosting and service costs.

The purpose of a page remains its NOID documentation. Advertising does not determine the technical conclusions, troubleshooting instructions, privacy explanations or reward rules. Pages are written and reviewed before ad placement is considered.

Ads are supplied by third parties and should be visually distinguishable from navigation, product controls and editorial content. A paid placement is not an endorsement by NOID unless a separate disclosure explicitly says otherwise.

Where ads are eligible

During the initial AdSense review, Google website ad code is limited to four canonical, indexable pages with substantial first-party editorial content:

  • the NOID public homepage;
  • the detailed About guide;
  • the Privacy and Security guide;
  • the setup and troubleshooting Help guide.

The Rewards rules, Advertising Standards, Terms, Privacy Notice, Contact form and account-deletion instructions are deliberately ad-free. An eligible page must work without account sign-in, provide clear navigation, have a descriptive title and canonical address, and contain enough original information to be useful even if no ad is filled.

Advertising on phones and the NOID PWA

The public documentation is responsive and may show AdSense when an eligible page is opened in a normal mobile browser. The same content, privacy and placement rules apply on phones as on desktop browsers.

The installed NOID progressive web app at /noid/ is different. It opens in a standalone application window and its primary functions are private calls, chat, contacts and account tools. AdSense is not loaded anywhere in that PWA. A phone user can read eligible public documentation in the normal browser, but advertising is not carried into the installed communication experience.

This separation follows Google’s restrictions on ads in private communications, software-like application contexts and browser windows without ordinary navigation and URL controls.

Where ads are prohibited by NOID

NOID does not intentionally load AdSense code in the installed PWA or on private, low-content or high-interaction utility screens. Excluded locations include:

  • the complete installed NOID PWA experience;
  • account login, PIN entry, settings, administration and private support forms;
  • private chat threads, message composition, calls and call controls;
  • the phonebook, music player and Settings screens;
  • device registration, permission prompts, error pages and empty states;
  • downloads and installation actions where an ad could be mistaken for the official download;
  • background, hidden or out-of-context states;
  • screens containing urgent notices or content that is not suitable for monetisation.

This boundary reduces accidental clicks and keeps advertising away from private communication. If an ad appears in one of these excluded contexts, users should report the URL, screen and time.

No encouragement or reward for ad interaction

NOID never asks a visitor to click an advertisement, search an advertiser, refresh a page to generate impressions or interact with ads to support an account. Users must not click their own ads, coordinate clicks, use automation or create artificial traffic.

NOID Rewards is independent of advertising. Ad impressions, clicks, purchases and visits do not create sats, unlock features or change a pending balance. Reward activity is separately verified by the NOID relay under the published Rewards rules.

Navigation labels and product buttons are written to describe their destination. Ads must not be formatted to imitate a NOID download, message, notification, call button or account action.

Cookies, consent and ad choices

Google and other advertising vendors may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, device identifiers or similar signals to deliver, limit, measure and personalise ads where permitted. Information about a visit to eligible public browser content can be processed by these vendors under their own policies.

Where consent is legally or contractually required, the AdSense account must publish the relevant Google-certified consent-management message before personalised advertising is requested. A visitor’s choice must be respected, and withdrawing or updating consent must remain possible through the available browser privacy controls.

Google Ads Settings can be used to manage personalised advertising. Additional detail and links are provided in the ad-free NOID Privacy Notice. Private NOID message text, attachment contents, call audio and phonebook aliases are not presented as advertising inventory.

Review and accountability

Public pages are periodically reviewed for accuracy, navigation, indexing, broken links, privacy disclosures and advertising boundaries. Material technical or policy changes update the review date shown on the affected page.

Reports about an unsafe, misleading or misplaced ad should include the page URL, approximate time, device type and a screenshot that excludes private information. NOID cannot control every creative selected by an advertising auction, but can investigate placement and use provider controls where appropriate.

Core rule: publisher content comes first. An ad must never be the only reason a page exists, the only way to leave a screen or the apparent source of a NOID product download.

Review-safe disclosure: this Advertising Standards page is deliberately ad-free during the initial AdSense review.
